  1. Polluted air passing through filter paper
  2. Filter paper absorbs black carbon (BC)
  3. Sensor measures attenuation of LED shining at 880nm through filter paper
  4. Data is evaluated by Python script and saved as .csv
  5. Data is displayed in web browser
